The residents of the city of Lorca can apply from tomorrow new aid for the reconstruction of 136 houses that have been or should be demolished as a result of the damage after the earthquakes of 2011 and have been unable so far for support for its construction.
The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Pedro Rivera, said today during his visit to the city that has been opened, with its publication in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM), the second call for aid for reconstruction, with budget appropriation of 1,602,215 euros.
Rivera said that "we will continue close to those affected by earthquakes in Lorca to help them reclaim their homes and raise together a new city to boost its strengths and an engine for growth and development opportunities."
"These grants are a new opportunity for Lorca who could not receive extraordinary aid from earthquakes to not meet the requirements or why they did not get enough compensation Compensation Consortium Insurance to pay the costs of rebuilding their homes" said the head of the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure.
In addition, Pedro Rivera emphasized the novelty that "have included the buildings that have been declared ruined by earthquake damage after the signing of the first agreement."
the works of new or ongoing reconstruction will be subsidized and may reach 30,000 euros for each home built to replace another previously demolished.
It will advance 80 percent of the grant upon presentation of the municipal license and certificate of commencement of work, and the remaining 20 percent will be paid once provided the final work certificate signed and justification of the grant.
The beneficiaries of the aid may run the proceedings until 31 May 2017 and justifying them within one month of completion and before June 30 next year.
Single electronic register
To attend this call, the people of Lorca must present the application before October 20 as a novelty from Sunday October 2 applications shall be submitted in the single electronic register of the Community, using the form of generic electronic application which is accessible in the electronic office (sede.carm.es), enclosing the application and necessary documents in connection with the entry into force of Law 39/2015, of October 1, the Common Administrative Procedure Public Administration .

Overall, the ARRU of Lorca will improve 535 homes, 335 by rehabilitating and building another 200, to which more than 9.1 million euros will be allocated, of which almost 3.4 correspond to direct investment in public support.
