Swimming is an essential activity in each edition of the Sports Games Guadalentín.
While every year the Olympics Lorca are packed with evidence aquatic environment such as aqua-aerobics and Synchronised Swimming, Swimming Trophy City of Lorca is, on its own merits, one of the leading tournaments throughout the region.
And it is by number of editions and number of participants, since each year all swimming clubs in the region take part in the event organized by the Swimming Club Lorca.
The pool of San Antonio hosted during Saturday afternoon the competition that reflected as always a great success of participation and also very successful animation, since the stands were filled turning the afternoon into a big party of the Murcian swimming.
A total of 348 swimmers from Murcia San Jorge, UCAM Fuensanta, Cartagonova-Cartagena, Agrupación Deportiva Ancora, Sewer, San Javier-Mar Menor, Aguilas, Puerto Lumbreras, Alcazar, Yecla, Torre Pacheco, Master Murcia, the Valencian club Horadada clubs and Elche and of course, local Lorca Swimming Club participated in the test.
He competed in pre-baby, baby, juvenile, infant, junior and absolute mode both male and female categories for the first time the Masters +20, +30 and +40 joined categories.
In total 37 tests were held: 35 individual and 5 mixed, including the mixed relay.
As a novelty, the end of the day an exhibition of younger swimmers who took part in the 15 kids who had the opportunity to participate in this massive event was held.
The finale to the day put the medal winners, in which the Councillor for Economy and Finance of the City of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, and the President of the Swimming Club Lorca, Juan Lopez participated.
It notes that in the overall points classification was ranked in first position Cartagonova Cartagena Club.
Second was UCAM Fuensanta, being third host, Lorca Swimming Club.
