The City of Lorca organized tomorrow, Wednesday, October 12 on the occasion of Columbus Day, the now traditional ceremony commemorating the National Day of Spain and homage to the Spanish flag, to be held in the Plaza de Colón city, as usual in recent years.

The event will begin at 11 am with the hoisting of the flag to the strains of the anthem of Spain, composed Lorca Bartolome Perez Casas commissioned by King Alfonso XII based on the arrangements of the Grenadier March.

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, encourages all Lorca to join this celebration that aims to render a simple and meaningful tribute to our flag, symbol of the Spanish nation and a sign of sovereignty, independence, unity and integrity of our country.
