The Governing Council has approved a proposal of the Ministry of Culture and Spokesperson, a grant of 190,400 euros to the Blue Museum Easter Lorca in order to restore some of its rich textile heritage.
Specifically, these funds will go to the restoration of the mantles of Poseidon, Mercury and Bacchus Cavalry Triumph of Christianity, according to the Report of the conservation process and restoration of three textile pieces by the Blue Paso.
The Brotherhood of Farmers Paso Blue has among its main objectives the dissemination of its heritage as a witness of the historical and artistic heritage preserved in the region and linked to one of the manifestations most deeply rooted as is Easter lorquina.
Its origin dates back to the sixteenth century, and was among the collections gathered throughout its existence with a rich heritage that includes jewelry, metalwork, carvings, horsemanship, leather or photographic archive.
As a core element, highlights the set of embroidered textiles such as banners, mantles, costumes, flags and accessories thrones, among others, offered to the public each year a recreation of the biblical Processions and Redemption on the occasion of processions Easter.
These elements include six pieces declared of cultural interest, which exposes the importance of this legacy.
