Up to 18 singers competed in the preliminary stage which was held for 4 weekends in Torrecilla, Zarcilla and the headquarters of the Peña Flamenca Ciudad del Sol. The Festival will pay tribute to that outside president of the Peña Flamenca Pedro Angel Rodriguez
The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Augustine Llamas, with Francisco Lopez, president of the Flemish Cultural Peña Ciudad del Sol, presented the XXVI Festival de Cante Flamenco Ciudad del Sol, to be held Suranto on 4 and 5 November War in Lorca Theatre.
