The second deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Isidro Abellán has shown that the government team of the PP, and specifically the Councilman of Contracting "have intentionally hidden data" when explaining municipal contracting.
This affirmation has been able to do this through a study carried out by the Municipal Socialist Group, based on more than 100 contracts of works and services made by the Department of Recruitment since the beginning of the current corporate mandate, a year and a half ago.
Based on this study, Isidro Abellán has ensured that of the total amount contracted by the City of Lorca in this year and a half, 60% of the amount contracted has been awarded to companies outside Lorca, exactly 59.64 %.
That is, almost 9.5 million euros (9.464.964,32.- €) of the 16 million awarded (15,870,833.10.- €) have been for companies outside Lorca.
These almost 9.5 million euros that have gone outside of Lorca are also added to the works awarded by the City of Lorca directly to TRAGSA, company based in Madrid: Construction of the Auditorium and Palace of Congresses (14,000,000.- € ) And Rehabilitation of Calle Azucenas (475,000 euros).
In this way, Isidro Abellán has dismantled the "attempt to wash his image around the municipal contracting that the Popular Party has recently wanted to do," when they said that during the last two years, "the City of Lorca had awarded 75% Of the works to companies lorquinas ".
An affirmation that, Abellán adds, "we do not say that it is not true", but that "behind it, lies the true reality of its management, and that they conceal intentionally."
In this sense, he also insists that "again, the PP appeals to half truths, and the concealment of information when giving explanations."
For example, the socialist head of the company raised a situation that reflects the real situation of the contracting of works and services awarded by the City of Lorca: "Let us imagine that Pepe Pérez, from Lorca, has a construction company, Which in the last two years has achieved 3 works contracts with the City of Lorca, for an overall amount of the three works of € 40,000, and Ramón Ramírez, from Almería, has another construction company that in the last two years Only has obtained 1 contract of works with the city council of Lorca, whose amount has been of 60,000 € ".
"What company do you think has benefited and which company do you think will be able to hire more workers, Pepe Pérez de Lorca, or Ramón Ramírez de Almería?" He says.
To answer this question, Isidro Abellán wanted to make use of both the "partial data" offered by the Popular Party and the information provided by the PSOE with his study.
"The company of Lorca, it is true, has achieved 3 out of 4 contracts but while Almeria, with a contract, has taken 60% of the investment."
According to the Socialist Councilor, this situation leads us to continue doubting whether the contracting made in these years by the PP government team have been made "looking at other issues other than the interest of the Lorca companies themselves" than to the Dessert, says "are those who hire Lorca workers."
