The councilor of this training, Gloria Martín, regrets that, unlike what happens in any municipality of similar size, Lorca does not have a plan "creative, realistic and exciting" whose greatest value is its co-participation and put at the service of Young people the new resources that the local administration can offer them
The councilor of Izquierda United Greens in the City of Lorca, Gloria Martín, today denounced the "desidia" that affects the council of Youth whose official, Agustín Llamas, has accused of having paid "to the law of minimum effort."
For this reason, Martín has urged the municipal government team of the PP to convene a Youth Days addressed to the groups of the municipality and the conduct of a survey of young people of the town, whose conclusions should serve for the design of a Young Municipal Plan Which offers answers to 20,000 Lorca between 14 and 30 years.
For the mayor, knowing the reality of young people is a fundamental tool to be able to propose and implement actions that respond to the needs and expectations of the beneficiaries of youth policies in matters such as emancipation, employment, training, democratic participation, Health, sport, leisure or culture.
Gloria Martín has stated that the recognition of youth as a sector of citizenship with its own differentiated entity, with specific circumstances and socio-cultural needs, must also be the subject of specific policies that, in the case of Lorca, are " Very deficient ".
In that sense, he lamented that, unlike what happens in any municipality of similar size, Lorca does not have a plan "creative, realistic and exciting" whose greatest value is its co-participation and put at the service of youth Lorca the new Resources that the local administration can offer.
For the Councilor of IU-Greens, the achievement of this Youth Plan is "essential" and should be translated into budget allocations and action programs that effectively reach young people, and that, with a reference horizon of three to five Years, are defined, evaluated and reviewed periodically.
That is why he encouraged Llamas to get out of "self-absorption" and to work "hard" for the young people of the municipality who expect their town council to lead strategies to promote their well-being and autonomy.
