The Councilor for Economy in the City of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has reported that the Government of Spain has officially confirmed its support for the Consistory's request to proceed with a review of cadastral values, a measure that, in practice , Is going to suppose a decrease of 8% in the receipt of the Real Property Tax (IBI) that citizens pay.
The Lorca, thus, will save € 1.800.000
Fulgencio Gil has affirmed that thus the Municipal Administration advances in its commitment to continue reducing the IBI.
It is an advantage for all citizens as a result of the efforts and work carried out by this City Council over the last few years with the aim of lowering these values ​​and ending a situation that was manifestly unfair to Lorca .
This revision was anticipated by the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration and included in the Order published in the Official State Gazette last October 1, and has now been confirmed in number 292 of the Official State Gazette, specifically within Article 7 of Royal Decree-Law 3/2016, of December 2, which adopts measures in the tax field aimed at consolidating public finances and other urgent social measures.
The Edil de Economía has explained that it was the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jódar, who submitted to the General Directorate of Cadastre in Murcia the formal request to establish and apply a reduction of cadastral values ​​in the urban IBI, an important advantage Which would directly benefit the citizens corresponding to 67,812 receipts.
The petition referred to article 32, paragraph 2 of the Consolidated Text and the Real Estate Cadastre Law, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 1/2004 of March 5.
In this way, the General Directorate of the Cadastre was informed of the request to apply to the cadastral values ​​of the urban real estate of our municipal area the coefficients that, for their decrease (reduction), establish for this purpose the Law on General State Budgets for The year 2017, after appreciation by the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration of the concurrence of legally established requirements.
The Councilor for Finance has stressed that since the Consistory have been implementing measures to correct the effects of the "catastrazo" of 2005. It should be remembered that already in 2009 were applied reductions in the receipt of citizens with Secured Building Land with an element of development approved Up to 80%, the average decrease being 65%.
The Edil de Hacienda has also anticipated that the City Council is going to push an application to the Government of Spain so that next year will maintain the 50% bonus in the IBI in the zone of maximum affection of the earthquake.
This initiative will be presented in the Senate to be included in the processing of the General State Budget (PGE).
