The Councilor of Oenegés of the City of Lorca, Fátima Mínguez, together with the president of the New Lorquinos Association, Mario Aguilar, presented this morning a Christmas day that has organized this group, with the motto "No child without toy", with the aim To make known to Lorca the Christmas culture of their regions, as well as the different customs that help to remember their roots by presenting the folklore of each nationality, in addition to showing solidarity with those most in need.
Fátima Mínguez explained that "this activity, which pretends that no child is left without toy in these dates full of joy, illusion and peace, will take place on December 18 from 14 to 23 hours in the Garden of the Rueda and will be divided into two parts.The first will be composed by the children's program that will be developed from 15 to 18 hours and the second, which will be from 19 to 23 hours is designed for the enjoyment of the elderly.
The first initiative to be developed is a performance of the Payasa Chispitas, with which children can play and have fun.
Later, at 4 pm, the arrival of Santa Claus will take place after a carriage ride through the main streets of the city.
The main event will focus on the election of the Princess of Christmas 2016, which will involve 8 girls between the ages of 5 and 8.
In addition there will be children's theater, dance performances with the participation of the "Violeta Mateo Dance Studio" and the dance group "Conquista Folclórica", as well as the realization of painting workshops by the Association of Bolivian Roots.
It should be noted that the delivery of 1,200 toys and 1,200 bags of candy to children attending the event will be done at the end of the children's program.
It is important to note that starting at 2:00 p.m., an information desk will be set up where tickets will be given to all children between the ages of 0 and 8, until the stock is exhausted, each child will be given a ballot.
The events will continue with the special performance of Marisol Segura, who will delight those present singing copla and Roberth Aueros, the multifaceted.
In addition dance groups from Ecuador, Bolivia and Nicaragua will show the cultures of the different countries that coexist in Lorca.
