Mateos hopes that the new measures taken in transparency "are not only facade" and really deepen in solving errors that attack principles so important for good municipal management, so that the name of the City of Lorca does not reappear in reports of the Court of Accounts for breaching these regulations
The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has come to assess the content of a report issued by the highest monitoring body of economic management, the Court of Accounts, corresponding to the year 2013/2014.
As reflected in this report, in the only contract of the City of Lorca verified by this body, 79/2013, states that "is not in accordance with the principles of publicity, transparency and objectivity, typical of public procurement, not specified in The specifications with precision and scales for the valuation of the offers ".
This report randomly examined a total of 109 contracts of Local Entities of Murcia, La Rioja, Castilla La Mancha, Extremadura and Cantabria, of which corresponded to the City of Lorca the inspection and verification of only one of the contracts formalized by our Corporation, in Concrete, the one related to Auxiliary Services of maintenance, concierge, attention to the public, cleaning, aquatic rescue, technical personnel and other complementary services in the sports facilities of the City council, whose price amounted to 4,759,366.80 euros.
According to Mateos, the reproach of the Court of Auditors has remained in the final report, despite the allegations made by the City of Lorca on 07/11/2016, in which he acknowledged that "the contract notices contained expressions 'Excessively short' and that have not been taken into account by the court. "
Therefore, from the Municipal Socialist Group urge the City of Lorca, and specifically its Councilman Contracting, to put "special zeal and interest" in rectifying these actions.
In addition, they hope that the new measures taken in Transparency "are not only a facade" but "really deepen in solving the errors that attack principles as important for good municipal management as are the publicity, transparency and objectivity in public procurement ".
From the PSOE will once again be vigilant to denounce these reprehensible practices, and also hope that in future reports of the Court of Auditors does not return to the City of Lorca as "breaching the rules on public procurement."
