The Councilor of Oenegés and Social Services of the City of Lorca, Fátima Mínguez, participated this morning in the traditional Easter flowers charity offered by the Alzheimer Association Lorca, along with its president, Teresa Camacho.
This event is held this year under the motto "A flower, a memory" has the objective of obtaining resources to continue with the development of the activities that are being carried out by this entity in our municipality.
From the Municipal Council has ratified its full support to the collective, stressing that Alzheimer's patients need special and particular attention, something that also require their own families.
Alzheimer Lorca has magnificent facilities at its headquarters, where patients and families can go.
The center serves more than 40 users on issues such as therapeutic activities, psychostimulation workshops, home support and rehabilitation activities, as well as individual, group therapies and training workshops.
Due to its good operation, there are more and more requests and therefore the works of expansion of places are continuous.

Its aims are:
1. Provide psychological and moral assistance to relatives of those affected by Alzheimer's disease.
2. Advise relatives of Alzheimer's patients in legal, sociological and economic matters.
3. Provide and disseminate in the media all that refers to the possible diagnosis of this disease and its therapy, in order to facilitate appropriate assistance.
4. Facilitate, improve and control the assistance to the sick so that their quality of life is the maximum possible.
5. To stimulate the studies on the incidence, therapeutic evolution and possible aetiology of the disease.
6. Relate to entities and associations dedicated to the study of the disease, with the purpose of knowing the scientific advances that occur in this matter and, thus, be able to inform the relatives of the patients and to spread them.
