The Brotherhood of Labradors, Paso Azul, is going to deploy an extensive Christmas program designed to celebrate these special dates and that has as a main highlight MASS, the Blue Museum of Holy Week.
It is an agenda that aims to involve Lorca and Lorca in the celebration of Christmas and energize the social life of Lorca from a single enclave as the largest museum in the entire Region of Murcia.
Blue Christmas programming will begin on Tuesday, December 20th.
At 20 hours the exhibition "Christmas on paper" will be inaugurated.
Curated by the director of the MASS, Miguel García Peñarrubia, objects and classic material of intimate relationship with Christmas will be exhibited, such as calendars, postcards, photos of celebrations and other originals that will allow the visitor to soak up the Christmas spirit.
Next will light the tree of the Cloister, which will be the largest Christmas tree in the city of Lorca.
The day will conclude with the performance at 20.30 hours of Peña La Jarapa, who will sing Christmas carols and the traditional Lorca pascuas.
On Thursday December 22 will be an activity that is consolidated in the social and cultural calendar lorquino: the Concert Solidario de Navidad.
At 8:30 p.m., the church of San Francisco will host this recital in which the Mater Dolorosa Musical Group and the Choir of the Blue Step will take part.
In the first part, the group will perform compositions such as "Immortal", "Concerto for Piano and Marimba" or the BSO of the movie Ghost, in addition to launching a own band: "Tu amor, mi pasión" by composer Agustín Castro.
In the second part the Choir of the Blue Step will join the Grouping to interpret a compendium of popular villancicos.
Attendees will be able to bring their toys that will be collected by Red Cross to be delivered to the most disadvantaged, making the event a full act of solidarity.
Following the success of last year, "Christmas at the MASS" is being held again, the event organized by GuiAzul's group of guide guides, which aims to re-issue both the participation and the fun of last Christmas.
Specifically there will be 6 workshops to be held on 27, 28 and 29 December in two shifts: mornings from 10.30 to 13 o'clock and afternoons from 17 to 19.30.
The participating children, between 4 and 12 years old, will enjoy cinema-forum, visits to the MASS or artistic directors for a day, among other fun activities coordinated by the guides.
The places, at a price of 3 euros per child and session and with discounts for siblings, are limited, so it is recommended to take the registration from 19 to 23 December on the phone 968472077 or in the MASS itself.
On January 4 the Royal Paje will return to visit Lorca in the hands of the Blue Youth, in a cavalcade that will leave at 19 hours of the MASS to tour the streets of the city.
The Royal Paje, mounted on a dromedary, will be accompanied by its escort and by the musical performances of the Mater Dolorosa Musical Group in this event that counts on the collaboration of the Regional Union of Merchants and that will be full of surprises.
After the parade, the Royal Paje will collect the letters for the Three Wise Men of the Lorca children in the cloister of the MASS.
It should be remembered that the Paso Azul has already put on sale the Christmas greeting with the images of the sizes of San Joaquin and Santa Ana that has been very well received to the point of becoming a resounding success.
Similarly, this Saturday, December 17, MASS will host a cocktail with which the blues will receive Christmas in brotherhood.
It will be an informal lunch for which tickets can be purchased, at a price of 20 euros, until next Thursday in the own MASS or in the Bar Nogalte.
From the Blue Pass all Lorca and visitors are encouraged to enjoy these activities and celebrate the Blue Christmas with the wide programming proposed by the Brotherhood of Labradors through Fundación Paso Azul, Grupo Musical Mater Dolorosa, GuiAzul, Blue Youth and The MASS.
