If the PP does not correct its accounts, the Regional Budgets of 2017 will serve to keep the Public Health System in Lorca continue to drag the same problems and continue their deterioration, since they do not contemplate a specific item to end the main and more serious deficiencies of Health in Lorca.
The PSOE Spokesman in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has ensured that the Regional Budgets of the Popular Party for 2017 in Health "are continuists, fictitious and unfair," since it does not contemplate "not only a penny" to solve the most serious Problems that has dragged for years the area III of health and, in particular, the municipality of Lorca.
Mateos said that if not correct these accounts, 2017 will be a new year in which Lorca and the rest of municipalities in area III will continue to be "the little sister" of the Region of Murcia, as the Regional Budgets confirm the discrimination suffered in this area In terms of real investment for the improvement of health care in Lorca.
In one of the first analyzes that the PSOE is carrying out on the draft of the Regional Budgets for 2017, Mateos has not been able to ignore the lack of real investments in Health with which to combat the serious health deficits of Lorca.
Despite the recent announcements of the Councilor, from the PSOE denounce that in the Budgets does not appear a cent for the construction of the new medical center Lorca-San Cristóbal.
In this sense, he added that this lack of investment is linked to the null will of the City of Lorca to build this new center, as they have not yet made available the necessary municipal land.
Neither appears in the regional accounts nor a single euro to rebuild the Lorca-Centro health center.
Zero euros also for the reopening of the primary care consultations, and zero euros to establish a Point of Continuous Care (PAC).
The Regional Government also forgets to comply with the unanimous will of what was approved by the Regional Assembly.
The PP does not contemplate by 2017 to recover the inter-hospital mobile ICU with which Lorca had, nor the more than necessary second Emergency Service (SUAP) for Lorca.
Zero euros also to start the itinerant oncology service in the Rafael Méndez de Lorca;
Initiatives all approved by initiatives of the PSOE.
Mateos has warned that the recruitment of new medical personnel for specialists is not foreseen, as one year the Ministry does not increase the staffing.
"They will be able to inaugurate new centers, but without more personnel and without more technical resources we will continue to attend to the saturation of consultations, the overcrowding of patients in the ER and the endless waiting lists in area III."
Mateos has expressed his concern at the evident lack of investments for health improvement in Lorca.
He insists that "if already if the PP has us accustomed to not comply with what appears in budgets year by year, imagine now when, as on this occasion, there are not even specific budget lines committed."
In this sense, he wanted to put the example of the situation of the medical center Lorca-Center.
Since its demolition in 2011, the PP has budgeted year after year for its reconstruction and the reality is that, to this day, "Lorca-Center remains a plot."
As for the investments that do appear in the regional accounts for 2017, Mateos says that the PP surprises again with the same song of the last years: "year after year they return to budget the same items for the works that have been carried out since Years ago in Rafael Mendez, for the expansion of operating rooms and wards ".
