The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jódar, together with the Councilor for Tourism in the city council of our city, Francisco Montiel, delivered this morning the SICTED awards granted to a total of 22 professionals and companies in the tourism sector of the municipality, one of which Been distinguished for the first time, the Archaeological Museum of Lorca, 21 renew the distinctions until 2018. The total of establishments that belong to the SICTED network in Lorca amounts to 31, of which 9 are in the follow-up phase to renew next year.
The First Edil has stressed that "Lorca we are committed to quality tourism, working to be an active and dynamic municipality within SICTED. We are all aware that this resource is an excellent opportunity to spread our rich heritage, inheritance received from civilizations that We are a fair city, and more than we are going to be, a city of events, unique museums, Easter and unparalleled spaces.A few municipalities can give the visitor an offer so varied that includes Culture, heritage, nature and beach at the same time ".
Francisco Jódar highlighted that "in Lorca we bet for quality as a flag of our resources and tourism services and for this we join the Project of Integral System of Spanish Tourism Quality in Destinations, SICTED, in 2005. The SICTED is a program developed by the Secretary of State for Tourism and promoted by the Spanish Tourism Institute (TURESPAĂ‘A) and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), whose purpose is the integral and permanent management of quality in a tourist destination. Who wants to be part of the SICTED offers a high level of quality as far as the services that are offered to the tourist.We are referring as much to tourist services as to those that contribute to the formation of the tourist experience in a destination. And we have the appropriate resources to exploit this dimension that implies both the commercial and economic level of the municipality.But the quality of the offer forces us to visit conditions and all the services that surround it also bet on the same parameters of quality ".
From the Municipal Consistory Emphasis is placed on the participation of companies and professionals to improve the service and contribute to the common benefit of the destination, while thanking the work they develop for the benefit of the municipality and encourages everyone to continue to do so.
