The regional executive has approved the payment of 558,865 euros for the reconstruction of the district of San Fernando de Lorca, the only one that was completely demolished due to serious structural damage in the 232 homes as a consequence of the earthquakes of 2011.
The Community owns 10 public housing units, with their corresponding garages, and 2 commercial premises located in the San Fernando real estate complex and for which a total amount of 1.2 million euros will be used for the reconstruction works.
With this amount of 558,865 euros, the Community pays the Association of Owners of the neighborhood the part corresponding to 44.71 percent of the work executed within the process of reconstruction, given the obligations that as owner are in this project.
In addition to the reconstruction of housing, the regional government allocates a budget of 2.6 million euros to improve the urban spaces of San Fernando, a performance to be implemented by the City of Lorca in coordination with the reconstruction works of the Nine blocks from the neighborhood.
The urban renewal project will include the improvement of supply networks (drinking water, electricity, rainwater, gas and communications), the provision of garden and leisure areas and the provision of urban furniture.
