The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has visited various works that are being undertaken in the schools of the municipality.
Montiel recalled that "taking advantage of the stop for the Christmas holidays we are developing a wide battery of improvements and repairs in 20 schools throughout the city, both the city and the deputations Lorca. Centers to present the best possible state ".
The Edil recalled that "in infrastructures of such use as these it is essential to carry out a continuous maintenance work to correct deficiencies and breakages. But it is also important to carry out other actions to improve the resources of the centers, such as Some of which we visited today ".
The Councilor for Education has visited, firstly, the Colegio José Robles, where three improvements are being made.
On the one hand and in order to optimize the performance of the heating, a removable roof with plaster plates is being installed which includes the term insulation;
This work includes the removal of the electrical installation and its subsequent installation.
The performance has been an improvement for 6 classes of the center and the library, thanks to an investment of just over 14,100 euros.
On the other hand, two sinks have been installed with their correct faucets and installation of plumbing in the classrooms of children's education of three years to facilitate the tasks of crafts, with an investment of almost 1,000 euros and has replaced the layer of gravel in the Interior courtyard with a cost of 387 euros, so the total investment in the center amounts to 15,481.31 euros.
Subsequently it has been visited the School San José, where also are completing three improvements demanded by the own center.
First, thanks to an investment of 2,360 euros, the drinking fountains in the main façade of the school have been replaced by deterioration;
For this a new source has been constructed with stainless steel post that includes 4 pulsating taps as well as masonry base.
The fence of the sports court has also been repaired by removing 24 linear meters of simple twist wire, which has been replaced by a metal mesh of welded wire mesh on clamping tubes;
For security reasons has been covered with plain twist fabric on both sides, investing the Department of Education almost 3,500 euros in the improvement.
Finally, small repairs have been made to the heating installation.
In total the investment in the center amounts to 6,105'32 euros.
Montiel recalled that "between the bridge of December and the Christmas holidays we will invest 86,000 euros in improvements in 20 schools that are the best evidence of the commitment of the City of Lorca with the state of the educational infrastructure of the municipality."
