In view of the conflicts for the road traffic that the recent works have caused in the area, Lorca socialists consider it urgent to urbanize the streets Canal and Asilo de San Diego, which incomprehensibly were outside the Regeneration Plan of San Diego , As well as its urban environment, where there are stretches without urbanization, there are large bumps in the road and sinks that generate pockets of water when it rains.
The councilor of the Municipal Socialist Group in the City of Lorca, David Romera has denounced the poor state in which is the extension of the street San Diego Asylum in the neighborhood of the same name.
As reported, this area is not urbanized and its pavement is land with the existence of large holes, which causes it to become a "real mudslide when precipitation occurs."
In this sense, the mayor says he does not understand "how with the unfortunate state in which this path is found, it was not included in the Urban Regeneration Project of San Diego, financed with funds from the European Investment Bank.
Similarly, David Romera has revealed the "discontent and indignation" of neighbors who reside or transit through the immediate street of San Diego Channel, which was not included in the aforementioned regeneration project and, as he has denounced " Presents great potholes in its road for months and there are sinkings that give rise to great pockets of water when it rains, because the street also does not have scuppers.
In addition, the current system of vehicle circulation "has generated a bottleneck that creates congestion and confusion among drivers."
For all this, Romera requires the PP Government team to include the regeneration of San Diego Asylum, San Diego Canal and other streets in the new Avenida de Europa Regeneration Project and adjacent streets being drafted. Transverse with the Railway Station "so that the regeneration of the San Diego Neighborhood is complete and looks as it deserves, for welfare mainly of neighbors and merchants, without creating comparative grievances with other areas of the city", as well as to review the Current system of vehicle circulation.
