The budgets of the Autonomous Community maintain a commitment "firm and intact" in the recovery and total rehabilitation of Lorca after the earthquakes, according to informed today the Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Andrés Carrillo.
To this end, 91 million euros will be invested in the municipality this year which, "in addition to the total reconstruction of the city, will enable it to provide new infrastructure and modernization of existing ones."
The investment planned for roads amounts to 35.6 million euros, housing and land use will be allocated 45.1, for educational infrastructures 1.5 million and for cultural heritage 8.3 million euros.
The Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Andrés Carrillo, said that the budget also includes measures to "strengthen the business and economic fabric with the objective of strengthening the economic recovery for Lorca and its region."
Andrés Carrillo held a meeting today with the board of directors of the Confederation of Business Organizations of Lorca (Ceclor) and the full Chamber of Commerce where he presented the main lines of the Community budget for this exercise.
The regional accounts, designed in a favorable economic context, seek to consolidate growth and make it more sustainable, and generate more quality jobs, better public services and with special attention to those who need it the most, "he said.
He also emphasized the "investment nature of the budget, which increases by 21.5 percent, or 43 million euros, to be allocated to key strategic sectors for the economy such as tourism, culture, industry and agriculture, as well as As well as the improvement of infrastructures and the promotion of e-government ".
