The logical thing, says the IU-V Spokesman, would have been to take advantage of the rehabilitation works of the Fuente del Oro, and the money from the EIB loan to be spent on them, to have culminated the rehabilitation of all that area of ​​the Avenue Santa Clara with the recreation of that old project of recovery of the building of the old public washings;

A building with Arabic architectural resonance whose recovery proposal has been part of many projects and ideas of renovation and beautification of the city of Lorca.

The councilman of IU-V has reviewed all the initiatives that his political group has taken to the Plenary over many years to face the best urban integration in the city of Lorca Guadalentín river and natural, cultural and Historical present in its environment: La Peñica, the Old Bridge, the Casamata, the Iron Bridge, the Fountain of the Gold and the public washings.

Sosa affirms that other cities - no further than Murcia - have been able to integrate the river into the urban area, with the creation of large garden areas, sea marshes, botanical gardens, recovery of patrimonial elements, etc., Unfortunately that has not been the case of Lorca.

Sosa has advanced that despite the resignation of the PP to the project of recovery of public laundries, when there is a change of government in Lorca and if, as we hope, IU-V is part of it , It will be a priority for us to materialize a global project to integrate the river into the city, with the recreation of these public laundries, with the public opening as a conditioned green area of ​​the Casamata and its facilities, the flushing of all the infrastructures of Bridges and work necessary to landscaping what is still on those banks of the river Guadalentín.
