The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, along with Councilor for Sports, Juan Francisco Martínez, has reported that the Sphere of Sports Tecnification of the Beach Volleyball located in La Torrecilla has launched the national program of permanent concentration.
We are talking about a project of the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation (RFEVB), which aims to offer young talented athletes, aged between 15 and 19 years, special living conditions that make it possible to reconcile their academic training with a High and demanding degree of sports preparation.
The First Edil explained that the basic concept of the program is to gather, for a period of time (1 to 4 years), covering key moments of the sports training, to the best talents of the whole Spanish territory who aspire to intensify the practice of Beach Volleyball and reach high levels of performance, offering them the possibility of training and compete together for more than 10 months a year, receiving the support to be able to properly develop the task and having the necessary conditions according to modern technical criteria.
Jódar Alonso has indicated that it is a matter of forming fully beach volleyball players, with prospects of success in the high national and international competitive level. In this way Lorca becomes a national reference in preparation of teams of Beach Volleyball that represent Spain in competitions International, while establishing models of work and technical development of Voley Playa, which are exemplary and become factors of regional and national promotion.

This permanent delegation has technicians of recognized prestige at international level who are responsible for the training and guidance of these high level athletes such as Mauro Hernández Coronel and Francisco Alfredo Marco Arroyo.
