Up to two calls, 2015 and 2016, submitted out of time the application for the subsidy for the rehabilitation of the church of San Pedro at a charge of 1.5% Cultural, as confirmed by the Government of Spain to a question from the Socialist Senator Juan Luis Soto.
The Municipality of Lorca lost the grant requested under the Program of Conservation of Historic-Artistic Heritage, known as 1.5% Cultural, to restore the Church of San Pedro.
This has been confirmed by PSOE's second deputy spokesman, Isidro Abellán, who has lamented the "political incapacity" of the government team, and specifically the incumbent councilor of the Treasury, since they have caused that this subsidy is lost for presenting the documentation outside of term.

In order to make this statement, the Socialist responsible accepts the written answer that the Government of Spain, on January 17, 2017, has issued through the Secretary of State with the Cortes to the question formulated by Socialist Senator D. Juan Luis Soto Burillo in relation to said program of Grants.
In this answer, the triumphalism with which the PP of Lorca sells its economic management is evident, in the face of the sad reality that they are silent, since he has not heard Mr. Gil Jódar recognize that they have lost such subsidies.
Following the loss of these subsidies, Mr Gil Jódar has had to borrow from the EIB to finance this rehabilitation activity amounting to a total of € 651,371.24.
In this sense, Abellán assures that "if Mr. Gil Jódar had done his homework, it would not have been necessary to pinch that pinch on the EIB funds, and therefore, that amount could have been devoted to many other issues that also need financing ".
Abellán denounces that it is not the first time that this PP government team "lets escape" subsidies for Lorca and, therefore, that "loses money".
In this sense, he has warned that "the incompetence of these councilors of the PP government team costs us money to all Lorca."
"For the time being, according to the complaint - more than 650,000 euros of this subsidy, in addition to another 100,000 euros, amount related to all the subsidies that the government team recently returned to CARM for not giving them a use where they were needed and for What in their time they were requested ".
Abellán reported that, according to the record of the Board of Governors last December 23, a total of 99,378.96 € - had to be returned, in the form of six subsidies that this City Council received for cultural policies, and Which were never taken advantage of.
As Isidro Abellán has warned, this loss of subsidies demonstrates the need to articulate what was agreed by the Plenary of the Corporation of July 2016, in which at the proposal of the PSOE, saw the opportunity and need to create a " Subsidy management service "that centralized the processing of these and avoid these forgetfulness and botches.
It also highlights the "lack of diligence" of the government team of the Popular Party.
In this sense, denounces that this City "can not afford a councilman of finance who is everywhere but where he has to be."
Abellán regrets that Mr. Gil Jódar for his dual status as Senator and Councilor of Finance from Madrid "spend half the week in Madrid attending, and when he is here he is dedicated to address other issues that are not precisely the councilman of Treasury of the City of Lorca ".
On the other hand, Abellán warns that his Municipal Group "is watching actions" by the PP government team regarding economic management refer, which ensures "we care and much."
In this sense, says the socialist responsible to be suffering "a kind of boycott" as to the information that this municipal group requests.
