The First Edil has indicated that the Andrés García Soler is the only school in the region of Murcia that acts as coordinator of Erasmus projects in the Kindergarten and Primary courses.
This year, schools in Spain, Latvia, England and Italy take part in this experience.
The event was attended by Elisa Martínez, Director of the school, and Enrique Ruiz, responsible for the project in this center.
The First Edil has emphasized that the Andrés García Soler school has decided decisively for the projects of European scope.
In fact, to date it has coordinated two Erasmus + projects and has two projects underway.
On the one hand, Erasmus + KA 101, which has as its objective the training and mobility of teachers, and on the other, is coordinating a strategic partnership between two centers in the United Kingdom, one in Italy, one in Latvia, Nebrija University in Madrid and British education authorities.
This second action, coordinated by the center of Lorca, has a budget of 160,000 euros and aims at both educational research and the promotion of student mobility with teaching staff and joint activities among all educational spaces that make up the initiative.
Across the Region of Murcia there are only 4 centers, between Primary and Secondary, that coordinate Erasmus + KA programs.
In addition, Andrés García Soler is the only center in Murcia that coordinates projects involving primary, secondary and university centers.
This project develops strategies aimed at improving the methodology for bilingual education and inclusive education.
They also use robotics as a vehicle for learning the English language.
Finally, they will investigate the impact of Erasmus + on students' socio-cultural competence and language proficiency.
At this moment the first phase is being developed, in which the students and teachers of the other centers visit Lorca.
Lorca students will then travel to the United Kingdom.
Francisco Jódar has stressed that the Andrés García Soler School has become a prominent player in European programs, promoting them with the aim that their students can enjoy new experiences and improve their learning, especially languages, through coexistence with Students from other countries.
The Mayor has stated that in an increasingly global world we must bet on strategies of this type that allow us to jump frontiers and share knowledge.
This is how we make today's children, tomorrow, men and women without prejudice, more supportive and better prepared to create a better world.
