Sánchez Jódar demands to the PP government team immediate solutions to the desperation of the neighborhood, who live uneasy because of the problems generated by this open place, turned into an unhealthy spot and in the scene of vandalism, in the historic center of the city
The vice-spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Marisol Sanchez has again denounced, next to the neighbors of the streets Palmera de Uceta and García Medrano, in the neighborhood of San Pedro, the unhealthy situation that the old social site of ASPROSOCU presents for the abandonment and obvious neglect that drags for years, in front of the inaction of the Popular Party to stop this situation.
It is a building that in addition to the uneasiness it generates among neighbors, given the conditions it presents, also damages the image of the Historic District, being a few meters from buildings such as the Chamber of Commerce, the Bar Association or the Courts .
For months, the Municipal Socialist Group has been conducting a comprehensive follow-up of this problem, which the PP government team insist is "fully aware".
The neighbors accumulate dozens of complaints and claims addressed to the Mayor "without response" while they remain forced to live alongside a "real nest of rodents, garbage and bad smells" and has for many years been "a refuge for people who cause insecurity among themselves neighbors".
Sánchez Jódar recalled that already last September the Municipal Socialist Group denounced this situation to the media.
Also on that same date, they formalized a written request addressed to the Mayor of Lorca to make him aware of this "neighborhood desperation."
A petition that, before the null response received, repeated again after a few weeks, in October last year.
Nor did they get an answer.
According to the neighbors themselves, since this old place was abandoned has been subjected to continuous vandalism.
They denounce that since there are no bars in the windows of this low, the access to its interior is perfectly possible because the crystals are totally destroyed.
In fact, its interior, in addition to being a refuge for people of dubious origin and causing insecurity among the neighbors, has been the site of numerous fire cones, aggravating that sense of concern among those who reside there.
Marisol Sanchez has once again demanded that the Mayor and his councilors "not continue to look the other way at such a neighborhood concern."
