These are areas for the recreation of dogs that have circuits equipped with elements to practice exercise, as well as drinking troughs, bags for the collection of excrement and wastebaskets to that effect.

The Councilor for Health has stated that the presence of pets in Lorca households has increased significantly in recent years.
This phenomenon has resulted in an increase in the requests of the owners in relation to the provision of services by the municipality directed at pets (wastebaskets and pockets to collect excrement, specific areas for recreation ...).
They have also increased the complaints of people who do not have animals and even bother their presence in certain pubic spaces.
We are talking about a situation that made it necessary to enable areas of canine relaxation in order to improve citizen coexistence.
We must point out that the Municipal Ordinance on protection and possession of pet animals, in its article 27, and in line with article 5 of Law 10/1990, of August 27, on Protection and Defense of Companion Animals, Contemplates that "the City Council shall enable suitable spaces, public places or parks, suitable for the walk and recreation of the animals, and issuing of excreta by them."
