'Agroemprendia', to be developed by Fecoam and Info, also has an internship section in companies in the sector
A total of 12 young unemployed in the agricultural sector of Lorca will participate for three months in a training project that subsidizes the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment, through the Regional Employment Service and Training (SEF), and co-funds the Fund European Union, which will give them the keys to start their own agricultural business.

And the president of Fecoam, Santiago Martínez, presented today this project denominated 'Agroemprendia'.
This training itinerary aims to train for 220 hours unemployed people interested in undertaking, so that they are able to start up a business idea and get the viability of it.
Through this project, which will be jointly developed by the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of the Region of Murcia (Fecoam) and the Institute of Promotion (Info), will be given to the participants a comprehensive training, addressing aspects of the agricultural sector and Specific contents of the business world, that allow them to safely start their business venture.
The future entrepreneurs will complete with Fecoam a total of 100 hours of theory with which they will approach to own contents of the agricultural scope like the management of agricultural exploitations, the production of cultures or the selection of the markets in which the Region is more competitive, among others.
For its part, the Info will give these young people the knowledge of business management necessary to start their activity as agricultural entrepreneurs, starting from a module of creation of company of 65 hours of duration.
During this part of the project, participants will become familiar with the marketing, the design of a business model, the functioning of the markets or the ways to seek financing.
Practices in companies of the sector
In addition, the project has a practical part of 25 hours, which will be developed in cooperatives of the municipality of Lorca linked to Fecoam, and that will allow participants to know firsthand the operation of a company in the sector.
Also, the project offers 30 hours of tutoring to the young people who, after completing the three phases in which the project is divided, wish to carry out a real business project.
Alejandro Zamora stressed that "agriculture, of great importance in the productive fabric of the Region, is a sector that is generating great business opportunities, hence our commitment to equip its workers with the necessary tools to launch innovative and Viable, that serve to improve the competitiveness of the sector ".
For his part, the director of the Info reminded that the agricultural sector represents the 4,7 percent of the regional GDP and gives employment to more than 82,000 people, besides to signify the 47 percent of the regional exports.
"This is an experimental program designed to boost entrepreneurship and job training in a strategic sector for the Region, which will also be reinforced by the creation and consolidation of companies based on knowledge and practical experience," concluded Javier Celdrán .
