Adoración Peñas, president of the Association 13 Roses and councilor in the city of Lorca by IU-Greens, presented this morning the 14th edition of the awards ceremony to the working women that the Association celebrates every year to recognize the importance of Women in the labor and social world of our municipality and this time will be held in the auditorium of the IES Ramón Arcas at 20:30 on Tuesday 7 March.
This time the individual prize will be awarded to Mari Huertas Soto Pérez de Tudela, a worker from the city of Lorca, who for 45 years has been playing his role in the SEPOR event, related to the traditionally male cattle world, effectively Work which has led him to gain the respect and recognition of the different Managers and Boards of Directors that has had this event during all these years.
As for the collective prize, the Lorca craftsmen, in their different modalities (ceramics, sculpture, textile, jarapas, locksmiths, jewelry, etc.), will receive such distinction.
Among the winners are Piedra Viva;
The three ceramic companies Larios;
Amares and Patricia, both jewelry;
Different workshops of jugs of the High Pedanias;
María Martínez, owner of a craft company in La Paca;
Azabache, which is dedicated to elaborate handmade headdresses and Narú, referring to the locksmith shop.
As usual, the event will be preceded by a lecture by Carolina Vázquez Rodríguez, PhD in Social Psychology and expert in groups and analysis of the gender perspective.
Before starting her professional career at the University of Murcia, she has been a Training Manager, Trainer and Project Coordinator.
Currently continues to provide training for various consultants and giving talks.
It has diverse publications on Stereotypes, gender, sexism and discrimination.
It is part of the gender unit that has the University of Murcia as an adviser and trainer and has been teaching the subject of Gender and Labor Relations for 5 years in the Degree of Labor Relations, so it has an ideal profile to carry out the prologue of this act.
