The Councilor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, has announced that this Saturday, March 4 will be presented the book "The snail without hurry. Tales of the Sierra de la Almenara" whose author is Pablo Diaz Moreno.
The presentation will be at 19 hours in the Orchard Ruano.
The Edil has pointed out that "The snail without haste" is a collection of 137 traditional stories from the Sierra de la Almenara, narrated by Pablo Diaz Moreno in the dialect of "Serrateño", rich in unique expressions of great plasticity and beauty. Is profusely illustrated with more than fifty drawings by the cartagenero artist Antonio Vidal Maiquez, and annotated by Anselmo J. Sánchez Ferra to show the extraordinary antiquity and wide diffusion of many of these narrations ".
The volume is an important contribution to the heritage of regional culture, due to its dialectological and ethnographic values, and in particular to national folklore, and includes some very rare narrative types, including one recorded for the first time in the area of ​​Hispanic culture.
The objective of the same is to save from extinction these rich narratives that are part of our cultural heritage.
