The Councilor for Sports in the City of Lorca, Juan Francisco Martinez, together with the Vice President of the Association of the Convent Men, Juan Cazorla, and the Guardian Father of the Convent of the Virgin of the Huertas, Jose Hernandez Valenzuela, presented this morning the Popular pilgrimage on foot organized by this group on the occasion of the celebration of the Jubilee Year of Caravaca.
It is an initiative that gathers the witness of the one that was carried out hour ago precisely 7 years.
It is planned that the tour will be completed by carrying out 2 stages that will unite the Patron Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Huertas with Caravaca.
The first stage will have its exit on Saturday April 1, day in which will leave the Convent to the hamlet of Zarcilla de Ramos, making night in the hostel Coy.
Martínez Carrasco has indicated that the next day he will leave in the direction of Caravaca, with the aim of being able to participate in the liturgical celebration that will take place at 12 in the Sanctuary of the True Cross.
This initiative also contemplates the possibility that those who wish to attend this Mass, as well as a lunch of coexistence that will be held afterwards.
This will facilitate the bus ride, which will start on the morning of Sunday 2 from the Plaza del Rey Sabio.
All people interested in participating in this pilgrimage can go to the group of Mozos del Convento.
It should be noted that each registered person will make a contribution whose proceeds will be used to contribute to the rehabilitation of the Camarín de la Virgen de las Huertas, patroness of the city.
