It is "We believe in you", a proposal that delves into the main lines drawn by different levels and that will inform citizens of the recommended physical exercise based on their conditions.
The Councilors of Health and Sports in the City of Lorca, María del Carmen Ruiz and Juan Francisco Martinez, have presented a new initiative that has as a fundamental objective citizen awareness for the practice of sport as a tool for improving well-being and a key factor also for improve health.
Numerous studies demonstrate the importance of being physically active and reducing physical inactivity.
Both factors have a clear influence on improving health and well-being, preventing chronic diseases and increasing life expectancy.
However, more than half of the population does not move enough to improve and preserve their health.
Much of this phenomenon of widespread physical inactivity is due to the fact that we have changed our way of life towards a more sedentary model.
Recommendations for the population on Physical Activity for Health and Reduction of Sedentarism, aim to inform the population of the quantity, intensity, frequency and duration of physical activity that benefits health.
They are based on existing recommendations at international level, and on scientific evidence, with the ultimate goal of making the whole population more physically active.
The "we believe in you" campaign is an information campaign that includes the dissemination of different promotional elements such as signage in mupis and other popular envelopes of the city (Plaza de Calderón, Calle Corredera, Alameda de la Constitución, Plaza Real, Plaza Saharawi Village, Almenara Shopping Center, San Diego Shopping Center, La Viña neighborhood ...), which remind us that the sports activity offered by the Felipe VI Sports Complex meets all ages and needs.
