Citizens will present in the ordinary ordinary of March a motion on citizen participation in municipal plenary sessions.
Mecca: "There are many voices of citizens who ask to be able to participate in municipal politics as the main pillar of our municipality. It is fundamental for Citizens to guarantee the participation of citizens in politics, following the channels of current legislation"
In this sense, the Regulation of Organization, Operation and Legal Regime of the Local Entities dictates:
"After the session of the Plenary, the Mayor can establish a turn of prayers and questions by the attending public on concrete subjects of municipal interest".
The Councilman broadens this idea: "Citizens who attend regularly plenary sessions should not only be able to participate in the public pleadings and questions section, but questions and requests should be reproduced by the Secretary and recorded in the minutes, adapting to a New way of doing politics based on dialogue and consensus. This way, the neighbors will trust their City Council and will encourage them to be more participatory in public affairs. "
