The PSOE Spokesman in the Municipality of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has denounced the "disqualification" of the government team of the Popular Party to inspect the state of completion of urban regeneration works in the city's neighborhoods.
Mateos recalled that last January the Socialist Group was forced to appeal to the Justice to obtain, via Contentious-Administrative, the municipal technical reports that, if it existed, justified the "good condition and completion" of works " Clearly, plagued with defects, "in relation to the final state of the neighborhood of La Viña after the works.
The appearance of dampness due to water leaks in garages;

The spokesman of the PSOE says that "it was hard to believe" that with the problems that appeared during and after the execution of the urban regeneration works of the neighborhood of La Viña, there would be municipal technical reports that endorse the completion of these.
Finally, after admitting to processing our lawsuit and after forcing the City Council to issue the corresponding documentation "the PP has acknowledged before the Contentious-Administrative that never existed those municipal technical reports."
Mateos denounces that this abandonment of functions of the PP in evaluating and verifying the degree of execution of the works in neighborhoods "supposes a double cost" for the own neighbors, who in the end are those who have to suffer the "multiple damages "That" today continue to appear ", as the municipal coffers themselves, because the settlement of these errors of execution will be" in charge "of the City of Lorca.
Facing the works still pending to execute, and to avoid that the PP continues making these lamentable errors, Mateos has announced that they will take advantage of the next Plenum to demand to the City council that it is endowed with a protocol of action in which it is established like prerequisite The participation of the municipal technicians in the supervision of the project, as well as the subsequent verification of the works executed in relation to the initial project.
They will also request an audit of the works already completed so that, based on this assessment, the responsible companies are urged to settle the multiple damages "before the warranty period expires".
Mateos regrets that the residents continue to have to pay the consequences that the City of Lorca has left in the hands of technicians "from outside of Lorca" the management of these works.
He insists again on the importance of "having the opinion of his own neighbors" and also "trusting" municipal technicians who are "well-trained and, above all, knowledgeable about the urban reality of our city" in order to direct the execution of the Works in neighborhoods.
