Gil announced that "in case the Municipal Corporation gives me the confidence to run the Mayor's Office, I will resign my seat in the Senate. Fulgencio Gil Jódar was born in Lorca in 1972. He is married and has three children.
Bachelor of Laws by the Center of Higher Education San Pablo CEU, he has doctoral studies in Law by the University of Murcia in the branch of Public Law, University in which he obtained the investigative sufficiency.
Collegiate in the Illustrious Bar Association of Lorca, began to exercise in 1995.
He was the President of the Tanning Sanitation Entity, SACURSA, made up of the 23 tanneries of Lorca between 2003 and 2007. He has been Vice-President of the Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Lorca, CECLOR (1997-1999), member of the Confederation of Business Organizations of the Region of Murcia, CROEM (1997-1999), member of the Spanish Council of Tanners, CEC-FECUR, and member of the Environment Commissions and negotiator of the National Collective Agreement of the Tanning Sector (2004-2007).
He has also served as a spokesman for the Association of Tanners of the Region of Murcia (ACUR) and of this group in the Local Table of Lorca Tanning (2003-2007).
Between 2004 and 2007, he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lorca, serving as Chairman of the Foreign Trade Commission of Lorca.
On the political level, he was Councilman of the Excellency of Lorca City Council between 1999 and 2003. He was Chief of Staff of Mayor Francisco Jódar between 2007-2015.
Since 2015 he is Councilor with the delegations of Economy, Finance, Internal Regime and Municipal Company LIMUSA, in addition to Third Deputy Mayor.
He has been senator by Murcia in the XI and XII Legislatures.
So far he is Vice-speaker of the Commission of Local and Vocal Entities of the Commissions of Property and Public Function, Justice and Incompatibilities.
