Mazuecos denounces the ongoing tearing of the Regional Government and the continued propaganda use that the PP has been making through the numerous promises unfulfilled around the issues that, more than a year and a half after its reconstruction, continues to present the IES Ros Giner
The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, María Ángeles Mazuecos has announced that they will demand the Ministry of Education, through two motions that will present at the Plenary of the City of Lorca and the Regional Assembly, that, as a matter of urgency, "Put the batteries" and tackle the necessary work for the urbanization of the IES Ros Giner environment, as well as the arrangement of each and every one of the "multiple deficiencies" that the center has been dragging since its inauguration.
On the day that six years have passed since the fateful earthquakes that struck Lorca in 2011, Mazuecos recalled the "calvary" that the educational community of the center has had and still has to face in one of the Lorca buildings that suffered " With more crudely "the devastating effects of the earthquake, as well as the consequences of slow administrations.
He remembers that after four long years and works that seemed "endless", on September 30, 2015 the center was inaugurated after the reconstruction works, after it had to be demolished completely.
However, more than a year and a half since its inauguration, the building continues to present deficiencies that "have no justification".
In the words of the Socialist Edil, to questions that already seem "irreparable" as are the new classrooms of small dimensions, are added others that "yes have solution" and for which Mazuecos demands an "urgent" answer on the part of Education.
In this sense, it denounces the lack of digital whiteboards, the equipment of the auditorium, the lack of air conditioners, deficiencies in the placement of blinds, among other "deficiencies" that cause "discomfort" to students and teachers.
To these matters, he adds that there are those "impossible to understand" problems.
From the PSOE it is considered "incomprehensible" that the outer space is still not urbanized, a situation that represents a "continuous risk" for this community.
Mazuecos denounces that the bidding of the works "follows half" or at least, the center are unaware of the progress of the project, since so far they are forced to use only 25% of the outdoor space for the recreation area.
In addition, it denounces the bottleneck that occurs at the entrance and exit of the center because the main door remains "incomprehensibly closed".
In addition, María Ángeles Mazuecos has insisted that to these problems must add the deficiencies in the newly inaugurated sports pavilion that the center shares with the nearby IES Ibáñez Martín.
From the PSOE ensure that it is the obligation of the Regional Administration, and specifically, the Ministry of Education, ensure equal conditions in access to education that "with these many deficiencies is not being achieved for the students of IES Ros Giner ".
However, Mazuecos has lamented that far from giving solution to this problem, during these years, the PP has turned this center into a "gateway" through which have passed a former President and former Councilor, a former Mayor, and one Former Education Counselor, that "improvements have been promised that are still not coming".
For all this, he announces that the PSOE has demanded this morning, through its regional deputy, Isabel Casalduero to take immediate action all necessary actions to correct the shortcomings and deficiencies that the IES Francisco Ros Giner de Lorca has been dragging since Its inauguration, including the material and furniture necessary for its total and full operation, as well as repairing the construction deficiencies presented by the building.
Also urge Education to complete the urbanization works of the exteriors of the center, as well as to assume the cleanliness of the enclosure that houses both the IES Ros Giner and IES Ibáñez Martín and proceed to the arrangement of the sports pavilion that serves both centers Education.
