The Councilor for Social Services in the city of Lorca, Fátima Mínguez, reported this morning that the transfer of the passerby's hostel to a new place will be carried out on a provisional basis.

It is a hostel to which passersby can access between 21:00 and 22:00 h, leaving at 7:30 h.
Its use is restricted to 2 consecutive days.
Passers-by have to identify themselves and can not have causes with justice to be able to use it.
Similarly, users of this service can not smoke or drink while they remain inside.
Its operation does not coincide with school hours, and in its old location there were two very close schools, Madre de Dios Mercedarias and Casa del Niño, and in 20 years it has never been a problem or any incident.
Since the closure of its last location, pedestrians have descended to other hostels, some located in the vicinity of the neighborhood of San Cristóbal, and there has been no incident.
We do not understand that opposition parties campaign against the solidarity of people who are having a bad time at certain times.
We remind you again that it is a service that is transported on a provisional basis while a definite enclave is found.
For this reason, we do not conceive the unnecessary, unfounded and absolutely discriminatory "social alarm" that is being created around this resource.
Similarly, we do not understand the lack of respect and stigmatization that is taking place against them, since they are normal people who are in a situation of vulnerability due to lack of economic resources.
In its former location, first in the basement of the Collegiate Church of San Patricio, and later in the lower levels of the prison in the Calle Laberinto, there has never been any incident or caused any inconvenience to the residents of this area.
It should be noted that the place where the hostel is to be installed has been proposed by Caritas Interparroquial, as it meets all the requirements that are needed to carry out a service like the one that lends itself to it.
In fact, it should be noted that the infrastructure will allow users of different sex to occupy different dependencies, offering a maximum of 6 places for women and 12 places for men.

Lorca has always been a solidarity municipality and that can not be changed by the political demagoguery of a few.
