The PSOE Spokesman in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has lamented that the Government of Rajoy wants to boycott solar projects, following the procedure and conditions imposed by the Ministry of Energy that has given advantage to wind energy with respect to Solar in the auction of 3,000 megawatts of power for the production of renewable energies.

According to Mateos, the result of this auction is a "tremendous brake" to the development of the project 'Lorca-Solar', and shows his concern, since it confirms the null commitment of Rajoy with the impulse of renewable energies, namely solar energy , And with the future economic development of the municipality of Lorca and its region, for which he insists that the role of solar energy "must play a crucial role."

Diego José Mateos shows his concern for the future of the projects initiated, such as that of Lorca-Solar which, he recalls, will involve the construction of a photovoltaic solar plant in our municipality whose works, according to its promoters, would generate 3,000 jobs.

In addition, Mateos links the possibility of developing this project in Lorca as a "key opportunity" for the creation of an innovative industry and national referent that can benefit the municipality and particularly the districts close to the location of solar plants, For the investigation and the study of the use of the hours of sun that "us exceeds" in the municipality.

Mateos expects a resounding reaction from Mr. Gil Jódar against Rajoy "if it is really for the development of this project in the municipality."

The socialist spokesman demands that Gil Jódar reprimand Rajoy and his party for this decision, if they do not want to be "an accomplice" of the boycott planned by the Government of Spain towards this project and towards solar energy.

Diego José Mateos has reaffirmed his commitment to this project, shows his willingness to collaborate with the government team to find a solution to this stagnation and has shown his support to the National Association of Photovoltaic Energy Producers in their claims.
