The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, together with the Councilor for Equality of the City of Lorca, Eulalia Ibarra, presented this morning the basic project for the completion of works to restructure the Center for Women, located on Calle Cava and conserves A part of the historical facade of the building.
The property will be destined to host the Center of Attention to the Woman of Lorca and counts on about 685 m2 constructed, that are distributed in four plants on slope and a basement under grazing.
The basement below ground level is intended for assembly and storage of facilities, while the rest of plants are intended for reception, storage, seven offices, two waiting rooms and two joint areas of work, a meeting room and the Toilets.
The building adapts to the accessibility of people with reduced mobility, and its program responds to the attention and training of women who need it.
In terms of endowment, the building will have furniture for the entire building;
Voice and data network for 18 jobs;
32-seat event room equipped with audio-visual and public address system;
Home automation control system;
Air conditioning per stay according to needs and use;
alarm system;
Low consumption LED lighting and 5-stop elevator.
In terms of rooms and uses, the basement floor will have a built area of ​​160.19 m2 and will house an auditorium of 62 m2, a distributor of 8 m2 and rooms of facilities of 17.10 m2.
The ground floor will have a constructed area of ​​147.10 m2 and will have an access reception of 41.90 m2, a waiting room of 16.10 m2 and two offices with 12.00 m2 each, as well as a mixed toilet.
The first floor will be built on an area of ​​144.80 m2 and will have an access of 7.50 m2, a waiting room and a work area of ​​43.10 m2, three offices of 12 m2 each and a mixed toilet.
The second floor will have an area of ​​139.00 m2 built and will accommodate an access of 7.50 m2, a waiting room and a work area with 34.50 m2, an office of 14.65 m2, another of 21.20 m2 and a mixed toilet.
Finally, the third floor, of 93.50 m2, will have access of 7.50 m2 and a meeting room of 35 m2.
This new center will be built on the existing structure of a building in numbers 13 and 14 of Cava Street, next to the Plaza de España and a few meters from the City Hall of Lorca, and within the axis of municipal services that are located in The historical center of the city, such as the Statistics Service, the Local Tax Agency, the Municipal Archives and the Department of Tourism, Information Society, Agriculture and Contracting, among others.
The execution period of the work is 6 months from the start, and the investment made in these restructuring works is 593,643.27 euros.
It should be noted that this infrastructure is a space that will welcome all the services offered by the Department of Equality, one of the most important being the CAVI (Specialized Care Center for Women Victims of Gender Violence), which offers individual and group treatment To women victims of gender violence, providing the necessary support to strengthen their social and psychological skills, and to successfully face the experiences.
The attention is realized integrally from different professional approaches: legal, social, psychological and work.
In addition, it will also give users the opportunity to participate in training and leisure activities, as well as cultural programs specifically aimed at women.
