Adoration Peñas Marín, councilor of the Municipal Group of United Left-Greens in the City of Lorca, will defend at the municipal plenary meeting next Monday a proposal to join the initiative of the Teatro Real in Madrid and the FEMP to see the famous Opera "MADAMA BATTERFLY" by Puccini.
As has already happened in previous years, and in the framework of Opera Week, the Royal Theater has contacted the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) to disseminate through the local governments of His initiative to take the opera to the street, by means of the live broadcast of a work in institutions, cultural centers and artistic of all Spain, or in screens located in squares, streets and other public places.
This time the production chosen is "Madama Butterfly", by Giacomo Puccini, and the retransmission will be on June 30 at 20:00 h.
The Royal Theater will facilitate the signal, free of charge, to all municipalities that so request and they should be the ones who are responsible for enabling the space and the necessary means so that the representation can be visualized by as many viewers as possible.
The retransmissions would be in high definition and can be received by:
- Satelite.
You will need a satellite dish aimed at Hispasat 30 ° W and an integrated high-definition receiver for satellite TV with HDMI output (this option ensures a higher image quality).
- Internet.
Broadcasting over the Internet will require a dedicated broadband connection of at least 20Mbps (preferably optical fiber) and a computer with the power to play high definition video.
IU-V will request from the Plenary that the City of Lorca formalize the registration as soon as possible, after which it will receive the technical information and the necessary requirements for the correct reception of the signal.
The municipalities that adhere to this initiative will be able to send photographs of the retransmissions in their municipality, in order to collect in the magazine of the FEMP, Local Charter, a retrospective of the impact of this initiative in the municipalities of the whole country.
