The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, proposed at the beginning of the session of the Ordinary Plenary of the City corresponding to the month of May, that the Municipal Consistory keep a minute of silence as a reminder to victims of gender violence, especially after The murder of a woman of 30 years in the Murcian town of Molina de Segura.
The initiative has had the unanimous support of the members of the Plenary.
The Mayor has stated that the scourge of gender violence requires the maximum interest of all public administrations, as well as the direct involvement of social agents and citizens in general.
In this struggle each and every citizen is necessary, for this battle is played in every home, in every classroom of our schools and institutes, in the dialogue within each family, and thus to achieve a victory that will be the Of the society in block.
