Ruiz Jódar: "We are committed to endowing Lorca with a resource of social importance such as tourism for fairs and congresses, which this municipality is legitimately looking forward to multiply. We are head of the region and sub-regional capital, a reality underlined by initiatives like this."

The Councilor for Commerce in the City of Lorca, María del Carmen Ruiz, has said that the municipality has set the challenge to continue encouraging the holding of this type of events with the objective of consolidating Lorca as a city of fairs and congresses.

We are talking about a series of initiatives that stimulate the social and economic movement of our city, and which also suppose a greater number of visitors.

These are statements made in the framework of the presentation of the I Interior Design and Decoration Design of the Region of Murcia, INTOP, which was attended by the Secretary General of Presidency and Promotion, Mª Yolanda Muñoz Gómez, the President of Ceclor, Antonio García, and the Dean of the official School of Interior Designers / Decorators of Murcia, Rosa Sánchez Sevilla.

It is an event to be held between 6 and 29 June in Huerto Ruano.

Ruiz Jódar has said that the common challenge of Lorca society, including the Municipal Administration and social agents, is to gradually increase the calendar of fairs and congresses, as we are aware of the wealth generated in the municipality these acts.

The Edil de Comercio has emphasized that in fact we have successful experiences in this respect, with examples that have gained relevance and good name at all levels, as is the case of Sepor, Fericab, Feramur, Salon Tu Boda and the Fair of health.

These are experiences already consolidated in the municipal calendar of fairs that have demonstrated its potential and its energizing effect for Lorca.

It will be crucial, in this sense, to equip Lorca with the Center of Fairs and Congresses that was widely demanded by Lorca society.

From June 6 to 29, 2017, for the first time in the Region of Murcia, IntTop will bring innovation to the city of Lorca through the transformation, both inside and outside, of the Casa Palacio Huerto Ruano, an emblematic building Of the city, which will become a place for the exhibition, promotion and diffusion of the interior and the most avant-garde decoration.

InTop is organized by the Official College of Interior Designers / Decorators of Murcia (CODID-RM) in collaboration with the City of Lorca, the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Lorca, the Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Lorca CECLOR) and the Ministry of Presidency and Promotion of the Region of Murcia.
