This activity, organized by the Department of Youth, will gather 300 young people on the tables of the Lorca moat.
It will start at 17:30 hours and entrance is free until capacity is completed.
The secondary schools that participate are IES Sierra de Almenara, IES Ramón Arcas Meca, IES Ibáñez Martín, IES Prince of Asturias, IES Bartolomé Pérez Casas and IES Ros Giner
The Councilor for Youth of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, presented this morning the XXVIII Intercentros Theater Competition Secondary Education, which will take place this afternoon at the Teatro Guerra from 17:30 hours.
Agustín Llamas said that "more than 300 young people belonging to secondary education institutes throughout the municipality will be raised this afternoon to the tables of the War to stage six plays that have prepared throughout the school year through the various Workshops that the Department of Youth has launched in the activities that are being carried out in schools. "
The Councilor for Youth explained that "as in previous years, the performances will be made in 30-minute sessions. From 17:30 hours will open the doors of the War Theater for free, until full capacity, to see All the works that have been arranged by the students.It is important to note that the Theater Workshops and secondary schools participating in this Intercentros Theater Competition are: IES Sierra de Almenara, IES Ramón Arcas Meca, IES Ibáñez Martín, IES Prince of Asturias, IES Bartolomé Pérez Casas and IES Ros Giner. The students have prepared different works dedicated to a free theme and with adaptations made by the students themselves, with the help of the teachers of the center and the monitors of the Department of Youth.
Llamas has indicated that "this is an activity that is consolidated in the school and cultural calendar of the locality, and that comes to enhance the taste for theater and culture in general among the youngest of our municipality, since for many Of them this is the first time that they are put up to a stage to represent a play before great amount of public ".
The Edil de Juventud has added that "the objective of the City of Lorca with the realization of this Theater Contest is to enhance creative and representative skills among students, while providing them with an alternative leisure tool outside school hours; Which in some cases can serve as a basis for them to choose to develop their artistic career, and in others simply helps them to grow their social network and build friendships.
