The councilor of IU-Verdes Lorca, Gloria Martín, expressed her satisfaction that the City Council has responded to part of the battery of petitions that she requested after a visit to the hamlet of Doña Inés held last July with the spokeswoman for her Municipal group, Pedro Sosa.
These are old unsolved demands for years on which those affected now claimed the intermediation of IU-Greens.
Among them were the repair of the La Colonia road, which gives access to the RM-711, Lorca-Caravaca, and which was in poor condition, especially in the section transited by vehicles of great tonnage that serve To the farms located in the area.
The neighboring neighbors themselves have informed Martín that they are proceeding with their settlement and the clearing of their shoulders.
Another of the deficiencies denounced by the neighbors had to do with a stop sign that gave preference to the vehicles that circulated by a neighbor road, to the detriment of those who do it by the way of Los Cantos that is considered the main way.
For this reason they asked that the signal be changed to grant the most rational and adequate circulation preference, something that has already been solved.
Still pending
Among the pending petitions are the repair of the Los Cantos road linking the Diputación with the route MU-504 or the placement of a sign indicating the direction to the hamlet of Doña Inés at the junction of the roads RM-711 And MU-504.
On the other hand, La Fragua street lacks sufficient width to have established double direction of circulation.
This causes that when vehicles in different direction coincide, one of them has to leave this way back.
Therefore, the affected people ask that it be modified so that it has only one direction.
They also request the repair of the cover of a chest in the square of the deputation that has already caused several falls to the neighbors.
Finally, the inhabitants of this picturesque hamlet of the north of Lorca also claim the plantation of trees on the roads that give access to it and on the road to El Rollo, for which they also ask for their conditioning in order to create a walk and Put into value the centennial laundry for the enjoyment of neighbors and visitors.
In addition to officially registering these petitions, Martín has met with the Councilors of Traffic and Citizen Security, Belén Pérez, and Infraestructuras, Ángel Meca, to personally transfer the need for these issues to be resolved as soon as possible.
