The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, and the president of the Royal Hermandad Virgen de las Huertas, Isabel Giménez, have announced this morning the events that on the occasion of the feast of the Patron of Lorca, on 8 September, has promoted This group in collaboration with the Council of Culture of the City and other entities.
Fulgencio Gil has released the poster made by Francisco Javier Martínez. "This is a digital watercolor made on a photograph of the Blessed Virgin of the Huertas in his return to the Sanctuary in procession from the temple of Santiago. Has used a chromatic range allusive to the products of the garden, as could not be otherwise in our land.
As is clear from the program, the events will begin on August 30 with the celebration every day at 20:00 hours of a Eucharist and the novena in honor of the Virgin of the Huertas, held by the Franciscan Fathers of the Convent And Priests of the City, and enlivened by the Choir of San José.
On September 6th, the "Infant's Day of the Virgin" will be celebrated, with the representation of the story "What's wrong with the King?"
Which will take place in the Hall of the Convent at 19:00 hours;
While at 20:00 hours the Eucharist will be officiated in which the football club Lorca Deportiva will make its traditional offering to the Patron and in which will perform the children's group of Choirs and Dances Virgen de las Huertas.
For the 7th of September, the eve of the Festival, at 8pm will be the Eucharist and Floral Offering with the participation of Lorca's Choirs and Dances, and at 10:30 pm the Serenade to the Blessed Virgin of the Huertas, in the Which participate the Brotherhood of Auroros Lorca and the Gang of Campillo.
Already on September 8, the Feast of the Blessed Virgin of the Huertas, will recover the traditional "Awake" by the Brotherhood of Auroros de Lorca and will take place from 4:30 in the morning.
They will leave from the Church of San Patricio to the parishes of the center of the city finishing the tour in the Sanctuary Patronal, where they will sing the first Mass at 6 in the morning.
Subsequently masses will be held at 7, 8, 9 and 10 in the morning.
At 12 noon Mass will be celebrated by the Bishop, D. José Manuel Lorca Planes, with the assistance of the Municipal Corporation under clubs and other authorities, in addition to the participation of the Choral and Dance group Virgen de las Huertas.
The program will be closed at 7:00 pm with the Holy Mass and later procession with the Holy Image of our Patron, in which will participate the Municipal Band of Music, Choirs and Dance Virgen de las Huertas, Choirs and Dances of Lorca and the Brotherhood of Auroros.
