Lorca will host on 2 and 3 September various activities on Sephardic themes on the occasion of the European Day of Jewish Culture (29/08/2017)

In the Fortress of the Sun there will be visits to the archaeological park of the Castle, the Synagogue and the Tower Alfonsina;

As well as the theatrical visit "The keys of Esther" for the families and a workshop for children in which the meaning of the Diaspora can be known.

The Aljibe of the back of the Castle will host the Exhibition "Erensya 2015: Human Landscape".

In the city there will be a guided tour "Lorca Sefardí: Ayer y Hoy" where you can see the Municipal Archaeological Museum, the Embroidery Museum of Paso Blanco and the Embroidery Museum of Paso Azul

The Councilor for Tourism of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, presented this morning the activities to be framed within the European Day of Jewish Culture.

The inhabitants of the Jewish quarter of Lorca in the Middle Ages left traces that today allow us to imagine how they lived in the Barrio de Alcalá del Castillo de Lorca.
