Socialists warn of the recent fall of several large branches in the Alameda Virgen de las Huertas as a result of the rain and the wind of the last days.
The councilor of the Municipal Socialist Group in the City of Lorca, Antonio Navarro has once again emphasized, as it did at the beginning of August, the need to carry out a review and "responsible pruning" of the large trees of the municipality facing the autumnal season, in which there are frequent occurrences of copious rains accompanied by strong winds.
Navarro warns that they have again produced falls of large branches in the Alameda Virgen de las Huertas.
In this sense, the mayor wants to appeal to those responsible for the City of Lorca in the matter of the maintenance of parks and gardens, so that they "take the risk seriously" that may mean the fall of new branches in this area, especially Navarro points out - when in the next few days this is going to become a hive of lorquinos and lorquinas who will attend the Festivities in honor of the Patroness of Lorca and the Fair Girl.
The socialist mayor says that this action should be extended to the rest of wooded areas of the city and districts of the municipality, and especially in areas of great competition such as parks, malls or educational centers, among others.
Navarro points out that "this time he hopes," the City Council takes into consideration this request they make from the PSOE and do not wait for any accident to occur to take action in this regard.
