This is one of the actions undertaken by the regional government on the rural roads of Lorca with a global investment of two million euros
The Ministry of Presidency and Development has completed the expansion and reinforcement of the Central Road in the Lorca branch of Cazalla, with the aim of improving the road safety of the road through which more than 2,300 residents reside in this deputation.
José Antonio Fernández Lladó, director general of Roads, accompanied by the Councilor for Development, Ángel Meca, verified the actions that have been executed in this way and that have had an investment of 228,000 euros.
Fernández Lladó stressed the importance of this action because, in addition to increasing the safety of the road, "it has also contributed to provide more resistance and stability the slopes of land at the junction with one of the banks of the Rambla de Biznaga, safety conditions ".
During the route, the director general stressed that this work has had four axes of action "to achieve a major remodeling of the road."
The first action focused on increasing the width of the platform, since its average width was of 3.8 meters and did not allow the circulation of two vehicles.
The work has consisted in the treatment of the lateral strips of the road with the emptying and filling with an artificial twig layer.
There has also been action to improve the slopes at the intersection of the road with the left bank (downstream) of the Rambla de Biznaga, the renovation of the existing irrigation network and the horizontal and vertical signage along the road.
These works are part of the program of interventions being developed by the regional government to repair the rural roads of Lorca, with a global investment of two million euros.
