Diego José Mateos says that the current Mayor has erased from the political agenda the priority that for the PSOE does represent the remodeling of the sports complex of La Torrecilla.

The spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has demanded immediate explanations to the Popular Party, starting with the deputy mayor, Mr. Gil Jódar, who should clarify where are the 5 million that since the last municipal elections the PP is announcing for works of remodeling of the sports complex of La Torrecilla that "still do not arrive" while these facilities are "totally abandoned".
It is not the first time that the PSOE demands explanations to the PP before this clamorous lack of commitment of the popular lorquinos.
Already in the full past of July 2016, the Socialists asked the former Councilor for Sports for the situation of this project that "there has been no trace" in the autonomous budgets of recent years.
At the time, the councilman of the PP attempted to respond to the fact that "the project would deal with the write-offs of the works under the EIB loan" and that the delay was due to the fact that they were updating the memory of this project that they have been announcing since 2015 .
In order to announce this "lie," Francisco Bernabé, who was now a Deputy Member, was one of the first to assure that this project would have an investment of 5 million euros by the EIB and would have been completed before of December 2017.
In the absence of scarce months to finish 2017, and considering that the works "are neither foreseen nor expected," Mateos reproaches the current Mayor who has erased from his political agenda the complete remodeling of the Sports Complex of La Torrecilla.
Mateos calls it "a serious mistake" not to foresee the arrangement of these installations, demands by the users themselves even before the earthquakes of 2011.
The spokesman warned that the abandonment of these facilities is causing even a lot of the local athletic events can not be held, because the track no longer meets the minimum safety and maintenance requirements.
Regarding the financing of the works, Mateos has celebrated the new extension granted to undertake the pending works that were planned to be carried out from the EIB loan.
In this sense, he assures that it is still time for the PP to recognize this error, rectify and take advantage of this new opportunity to include the works of the Complex of La Torrecilla, in addition to other projects also requested by the PSOE, as step to different level that alleviates the traffic jams that live daily in San Antonio.
However, he says that these delays only confirm the "null planning" that the PP has made of the projects charged to all the money they have received after the earthquakes of 2011, which show "once again that the PP in Lorca represents a finished option, exhausted and far from the interests of Lorca ".
