Laura Sandoval, accompanied by the Councilor for Development and Infrastructure, Agriculture, Livestock and Water of the Municipality of Lorca, Ángel Meca, today visited the works of the urban renewal of Los Angeles-Apolonia that 65% of the budget amounting to a total of € 3.8 million has already been implemented.
Laura Sandoval highlighted the "good pace" of the works and recalled that this action "will improve the interconnection and accessibility of the neighborhood, where 2,500 people live," which is the traditional entrance to the city on the east through Avenida de las Armed Forces, which connects with the center of the city.
"The renovation of networks and pavements in the inner streets of the Los Angeles and Apolonia districts is being completed and the works in this area will be completed by the end of September," said the director, who added that in the months of October and November, will be held at Avenida Fuerzas Armadas and Ortega Melgarés Street.
Work is currently under way on Los Angeles Avenue and Transformer Street, where renovation of sanitation, stormwater, drinking water, low voltage and telecommunications networks is under way.
Likewise, the pavements of sidewalks and pavements and the execution of ramps in Joaquín Casalduero street are being renewed, improving the general accessibility and creating adapted itineraries that allow the connection of the neighborhood with the University and the access to the parks of Los Angeles and the one of University.
