Since its debut in the agenda of the Guadalentín Sports Games 8 years ago, Playing Street Athletics has become one of the most awaited tests, both by children and their parents.
And is that during one afternoon the Eliocroca Athletics Section invites schoolchildren to practice healthier physical activity outdoors and know the world of athletics.
This Wednesday the Alameda de la Constitución has hosted the first of four sessions of Playing Athletics on the Street to be held during the current edition of the Lorca Olympics.
The 110 participants had at their disposal an adapted test circuit that starts with two speed challenges: on the one hand 30 meter race and on the other obstacle course with 5 low fences;
the long jump test, having to reach as far as possible with both feet together;
and finally the two throwing tests, with a rubber ball and a javelin.
From 18:00 to 20:00 the young athletes enjoyed this classic course in the agenda of the Games that ended with the delivery of medals by the Councilor for Sports, Juan Miguel Bayonas.
During the next few weeks the circuit of Playing the Athletics on the Street will visit various sites for other Lorca children to participate.
On Wednesday the 27th will be in the park of San José, on October 4 in La Viña and will say goodbye on Wednesday 11 in the Corredera, novelty in this edition.
All sessions will start at 6pm.
