The fairground of Huerto de la Rueda has more than 5,000 square meters of paved surface and has a covered area of 3,000 m².
In addition, garlands and energy saving bulbs have been installed at the entrance to the site.
The Councilors of Culture and Works in the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas and Angel Mecca, have supervised this morning the last details that are carried out to form the extraordinary device that the Consistory will deploy with the objective of providing coverage to all events that will be developed in our city included in the program of our Fair and Holidays.
It is an operation that aims to provide all the necessary provisions for Lorca to simply take care of the many activities proposed, which is the purpose of the Fair.
It is planned the distribution of 40 temporary bins in order to take care of the hygiene of our municipality.
Among other additions, there are 11 dressing rooms and booths for municipal services, 22 jaimas distributed by the city of 5x5 meters in length, perimeter enclosure of 400 meters and 10 points of provisional water distributed throughout the city.
It should be noted that the mobile coverage of the site has been strengthened by the incorporation of a special telephone unit.
The Ediles have announced the logistic device of the Garden of the Wheel for the Fair of 2017 that will begin next Friday September 15.
It is worth remembering that last year 39,100 euros were invested in improving the general conditions of the site, thanks to the subsidy of the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Public Administration.
The Edil de Cultura has explained that the Huerto de la Rueda has 5,420 m² of paved surface and a covered area of 3,000 m².
In addition, the entrance will be decorated with garlands and arches of illumination composed by 100,000 light bulbs of consumption type led.
In the interior have installed 55 projectors that will illuminate the fairground.
As for the soil, the soil has been reinforced with the relevant inclination so that in case of rain the water is channeled directly into the river.
In this way, this large space consists of a network of canalization and evacuation of water to avoid the consequences of a possible rain.
Likewise, pipes have been incorporated under the pavement so that the wiring of the feriantes does not remain on the surface.
This infrastructure benefits both the drinking area and the tables and chairs of the food stalls that are installed there.
With regard to the logistics device planned for the Fair, will be installed 70 chemical toilets, including nearly a dozen for people with reduced mobility.
These will be distributed in the Plaza de España, the parking lot of the Jardines de Lorca hotel, in the fairground and in other public thoroughfares of traffic.
The fair will have seven stages in which the various programmed shows will be held, in which 12,000 chairs will be incorporated with the aim of comfortably enjoying these performances.
The fairground is equipped with a total of 4 electric transformers installed to provide the necessary supply to all the services and attractions that it houses during these days.
We are talking about an equipment capable of supplying up to 3,000 kaveas through the medium voltage line that is also installed to respond to the needs of the fair.
The site has an emergency generator for lighting, although it is planned that it is not necessary to use it since the space is perfectly equipped with the necessary equipment to supply the electrical needs.
Thanks to the efforts made in recent years in terms of innovation, savings and energy efficiency, it has been possible to reduce the usual consumption in this type of facilities to a third of what was previously required.
This is a progress that benefits us all, since in addition to the consequent economic saving, CO2 emissions are significantly reduced to the atmosphere, achieving, in short, a more efficient and environmentally friendly environment.
