The second weekend of the XXXIX Sports Games of Guadalentín has had an ideal closure thanks to the celebration of one of the most outstanding popular events in each edition of the Olympics Lorca: the Walking Path to the Cejo de los Enamorados.
Through this activity we propose a tour from the center of the city to one of the natural areas of greatest natural value such as the Cejo de los Enamorados, all through paths of great environmental wealth.
In the activity celebrated this Sunday and organized by the Department of Sports and the La Carrasca Senderista Club participated 550 hikers who enjoyed the trip that left this Sunday from La Merced in the direction of Cejo at 9.30.
In order to accommodate so much participation avoiding that the group crosses a year more was chosen to realize a circular route that also allows to know other places of great interest within our municipal term.
Thus the platoon entered by the channel of the river Guadalentín and crossed the road of the Parroquia from where began the ascent until Cejo leaving behind the Roman villa of the Quintilla.
Once in Cejo he rested for a few minutes until he started back through the traditional path, crossing the curious bridges and the flight of stairs.
In Los Pilones, under the gaze of the Torre Espolón and after completing the 12 kilometers of march, the test was dissolved, each carrying the return home for the itinerary of his choice.
The pace was affordable for all participants, with the aim that the enjoyment of the tour was unanimous.
All this occurred without any notable impact, so that the health and emergency teams included in the logistical operation did not have to intervene, which is always the best news.
